Its activities are designed to strengthen the ties between representatives of international and Austrian business through personal networking in an informal atmosphere.
An all-volunteer organization founded by members of the Canadian business community in Vienna in 2014 as the Maple Leaf International Business Club, today's Vienna International Business Club provides a cross-cultural forum for the discussion of national and global commercial relations and ideas.
CHARTER
Stimulate communication and knowledge exchange between the local and international community
Provide a platform for international business and technology exchange
Encourage open and robust debate on issues related to international business in Austria
Create networking opportunities for international business professionals in their respective communities
Improve business-to-business contacts between Austrian and international businesses
Furnish members with a medium for an exchange of experience and a forum for the discussion of problems of mutual interest
Seek by concerted action to identify and address the barriers and obstacles which may interfere with the development of international business
Promote better understanding and appreciation of the full potential of international trade and investment in Austria
Encourage international business management on a high ethical plane
Membership is open to both private individuals and to corporations
Membership is open to all nationalities who support the Business Club’s goals
Decisions made and activities conducted within the club are based on democracy and transparency
The Vienna International Business Club supports free trade and sharing of ideas that benefit international business and personal interaction between business people within Austria and the EU
Events are conducted in English
Regular meetings such as luncheons, dinners, receptions generally have guest speakers or podium discussions that are informative and focused on themes relating to international business
The club has neither political nor religious orientation
